History of the item(s) for sale:
The items I have for sale came from the manufacturing operation of Phillips Corporation in Colorado Springs, CO. Phillips Laser Magnetic Storage built optical disk drives and media in Colorado Springs as well as had a Research and Development facility. The item(s) for sale were new spares for the optical media manufacturing line, kept on hand to minimize any production down time should a part fail. All the items for sale are new, most in the original packaging, unless otherwise noted. I worked in the optical storage industry, including doing consulting for Phillips LMSI, during the height of the optical disk drive industry so understand the investment made by Phillips in insuring an efficient and high quality manufacturing process.
Phillips sold the business, including the real estate and manufacturing equipment, to Alliance Storage Technologies. I purchased numerous items, including the items I have for sale, from Alliance Storage Technologies when they moved their manufacturing operations from the former Phillips manufacturing facility to a new facility. Having bought a large lot of items, I have utilized the items that I need I and I am hoping that others will benefit from the new-old-stock items I have listed for sale.
